Services
Restoration Chiropractic offers treatment services for a variety of physical impediments affecting spinal mechanics, vertebrae, nerves, the back, neck, muscles, ligaments, and more. We focus in these service areas:

Chiropractic Care:

The most common theraputic tool used in chiropractic is the "spinal manipulation" or, as it is more commonly known, the "adjustment." The purpose of this manipulation is to conserve and restore joint mobility by gently shifting the position of the vertebrae, so that pain and muscle tightness can be alleviated. Once proper functioning is restored and the nerve pathways are re-opened, the body can set to work on naturally healing itself.

Active Release Technique (ART):

This technique involves hands-on movement to treat both acute and chronic soft tissue injuries. Soft tissue injuries occur when a muscle, ligament, tendon or nerve become overly tight and motion becomes limited, often causing pain and decreased function. The benefits of ART are improved ROM, joint mechanics and decreased pain and sensitivity. It can also help to decrease trigger points and adhesions within the muscles.

Movement Assessments (FMS/SFMA):

These assessements involve doctors examining and assessing the quality of different movements of each patient, taking in important information gathered from analyzing movement. Corrective exercises may be recommended to improve any weaknesses or imbalances found during the examination. These are typically performed outside the office and can help to speed up the recovery process.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS):

This rehab system based on neurologic development evaluates motor control to assess and treat the musculoskeletal system. The first year of an infant’s development is broken down into specific movements that can be applied to both children and adults. Core stability through proper diaphragmatic breathing and abdominal bracing is the main principle of DNS.

Activator Technique:

The activator is a chiropractic tool that delivers a quick, low force thrust to help move the vertebra into alignment. This technique is perfect for patients who prefer not to be manually adjusted.

Surface EMG:

Surface EMG is an Electromyogram. It produces a visible readable picture printout of the measurements of muscle electrical activity in a certain area. This can help diagnose problem areas and track progression over time.

Kinesio Taping:

Kinesio Taping helps reduce pain and inflammation by relaxing muscles during a 24-hour-a-day basis. The taping is non-restrictive and allows for full range of motion. Numerous rehabilitation usages include sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back strain/pain (subluxation, herniated disc), knee and shoulder conditions, and more.

Cupping:

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR):

Developed to help speed recovery from chronic musculoskeletal pain syndromes, this rehabilitation technique has also been shown to work extremely well on acute musculoskeletal/fascial conditions. This new treatment approach to soft tissue dysfunction combines instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) with Proprioceptive (Functional) techniques to reduce pain and return to functional.

Therapeutic Modalities:

These techniques are used to complement the main techniques performed by the chiropractors. Electrical stimulation to assist pain control and cervical decompression therapy (traction) which can assist with neck pain are examples of methods for this form of therapy.
